I have to say I love the works of artist David Lozeau. Particularly this one here because A – it’s a bad ass zombie & B – it reminds me of Ralph Steadman’s artwork with the sketchy ink splatters at the bottom. Although don’t get me wrong if you check out David’s Website and view his portfolio you can see there is the comparison doesn’t run too deep as he exhibits a multitude of styles and subject matter with different macabre themes.
The zombie to the left caught my eye first, but the sad clown after the break reminded me of a shirt I love that has a dead mime hung from an invisible noose. The is even an entire section of the site dedicated to Day of The Dead Art that has some of the coolest all saints day skeletons I have ever seen. Some of the originals pieces are available to buy for a decent chunk of change; but you can score some glossy 8 x10 pictures for the price of a few drinks. ($20)

Till Death Do Us Part just isn’t cutting it anymore in this lightning paced society. We spend all our live waking hours running around like starving rats who have caught the scent of the cheese at the end of the maze and don’t always give those closest to us the quality time they deserve. While we can’t slow the world around us you can now extend your commitment beyond the grave into the realm of the undead.
The unique hand painted zombie wedding cake toppers created by Beeloverly will let everyone in attendance at the most important day of your life know that you and your true love will not let death stand between your love of one another; even if you acquire a new lust for brains you’ll be sharing the experience together.
You can even make custom requests to have a a special cake topper of your choosing zombified by visiting Beeloverly’s Etsy Shop Zombiatch. If you like what you see but you just aren’t getting married anytime soon there is even a new zombie bunny for easter (as I call it Living Dead Day) which is supremely fitting because it is perhaps the only national holiday to glorify the rising of the undead from their grave. Although cake toppers are the specialty requests to zombify ANYTHING are welcomed; wouldn’t a zombie gnome look nice in your garden this spring?

I tried my hand at it you can see me first attempt HERE. I know I can do better I just have to find the right pictures to use; if you wanna try and show me up go make your own and post a link to it in the comments – don’t feel limited to basic photos why not some zombie pets, get creative and share it with the world.
All you have to make your own is visit ZombieMe.com, upload a photo, add effects with the easy built in effect generator and boom your a zombie. If you are really ambitious and want to take it to the next level you can try to make a zombie portrait like the pros and upload your own effects to drop onto the original photo. When you use the free zombie generator you can only view the photo on their site (hence me having to link to my photo), but you can share it with all your friends on Facebook, MySpace, & Twitter.
If you just gotta have one to keep for a nominal fee of $10 bucks Zombie Me will do the work for you and create a simple zombie portrait from your photograph while you sip champaign and relax receive a digital file for your personal use, for a few bucks more you can add on a hi-res image to go develope into an fancy 8″x10″ photo for framing. For those of you who refuse to put a price on your zombie likeness you can drop a cool $50 and have the pros spend a bit more time on your photo so you can tell all your friends you were an extra in a George Romero movie. Check out their Facebook Fan Page for some examples of pro work and to access the Zombie Me Facebook Appliation.
Be sure to check out the realistic Simpsons characters too; I’ve seen a few before and let me assure you something about them makes them almost as creepy as the zombie portraits.

I have to admit there was about half a second when found out this wasn’t edible that I was a hair bummed; but then I thought honestly when I find really cool edibles the last thing I want to do is actually eat them I’d Much Rather display them with the rest of my off color nic-nacs.
Rachel Emma Weaver has went to great lengths to bring you this permanent brain freeze all the way from Australia. The cone itself is a 100% life size replica created by making a mold of a real cone. The entire piece is hand painted with awesome detail.
If one Zombie Ice Cream isn’t enough to satisfy your sweet tooth or fill you up with you daily allotment of brains check out Emma’s Etsy Shop for more color combos and delicious Zombie Brain Cup Cakes. Take Your Time to see the one of a kind stuffed monsters too, they are quite a treat.

It’s been a few days since I’ve had a dedicated zombie post but let me assure you it was worth the wait to see these hand painted zombie clocks from the mother & daughter art team comprising Off Her Rocker Art. Way up North in Palmer, Alaska they gave created a perfect mash-up of 3 of my favorite things original art, zombies, and vinyl records.
Keeping in theme of a few former posts you can even order custom zombie portraits to be hand painted on a record clock through their Etsy store. I thinks it’s about time to start a collection of personalized zombie portraits to leave for my heirs. That is a collection that would be truly priceless.
This little girl on this zombie clock titled Sweetheart of Sigma Chi is so chilling it looks like she may have wilted that rose with her stone cold stare.
If you want to enjoy some more colorful original art or connect with the artists directly you can scope out the artists website Dandy Gelatin or visit them on Facebook to become a fan to stay abreast their latest news.

So if you’ve been feverishly sampling the collection of vinyl uploaded at Punk Not Profit since my post about it then you’ve been waiting for Vinyl Punk. It’s also the perfect solution if you’re stuck waiting to see if you can outbid the other punk kid 3000 miles away who wants the same bootleg Misfits/Ramones 7″ Split you’re trying to score on E-bay.
Vinyl Punk is a one man project out of Germany; Nils has taken the time to transfer his collection of 7″ punk vinyl to mp3 and upload them onto his blog complete with scans of the front & back covers. With new content every few days this is a site worth bookmarking , some of the records are rare bootlegs you may not get to hear unless you happen upon them in your local record store or search your heart out on e-bay for days, weeks, or months.

Aeron Alfrey is creating some awesome creepy art. Some of it you may have seen and not even known it. He has been published in multiple Books & various other print publications. The detail in his art is amazing I’ve always found that art with 1000 shades of grey can be just as vibrant & show even more contrast than the shards of rainbow bursting light exploding from a prism on a bright sunny day. To Really appreciate the current work in progress pictured to the left click on the image to see it enlarged, It’ll blow your mind.
I found this new piece seemed to have a werewolf element to it that is reminiscent of a previous work Aeron had published in Electric Ant #2, It features his depiction of the Nightmare Nazi Demons from An American Werewolf in London. It is also one of the few pieces done in color, although it was published in black and white. The Print is available in full color with a limited edition of 666.
If this wicked art has you begging for more you can see a lot more of Aeron Alfreys art on his blog The Mutated Skeleton & in the Exhibits From The Imaginary Museum gallery online. You might even be able to get your hands on some of the limited signed prints available only by directly contacting the artist on his blog.
If you happen to be making your way through Montreal, Quebec before March 28th you can even go see an original Cheshire Cat painting at the Canteen Art Shop + Gallery as part of Two Days Slow an Alice an Wonderland Showcase. You could go see the new movie, then go see the art inspired by the story, & maybe if you have a chance squeeze a tea party in there for a perfect night on the town. Now if only I had a plane ticket to Montreal.

Everyone is worried about terrorists now days, but fact of the matter is terrorists blowing stuff up is nothing new. It’s only new to those of us lucky enough to live in a place where it doesn’t happen everyday! I personally am not too worried about my house getting blown up in the middle of the night.
I think we all now that I am getting to the real hot button issue facing most democratic nations. The threat of undead communist revolutionaries sprawling the globe and infecting the masses. These are some of the most influential men in recent history and now they can simply chew on the ear (literally) of non believers for a few minutes and have them converted in anywhere from 1-24 hours. (If Hollywood has taught me anything)
Now if you are anything like me and want to welcome our new Undead Communist Overlords upon arrival & hopefully convince them you are already on their side you can get one of these limited edition prints from the 3D Monster Art Store to hang prominently above your mantel or in plain view of your entry way. It should stop those communist zombies DEAD in their tracks.
This Che Guevara Zombie Print is a limited edition of 50 don’t miss your chance to flatter the inevitable army of rotting communist corpses that will be knocking down your door the next time you hear the air raid sirens blaring.
If you have some more empty space on your walls Daniel Bru has some other great horror themed pop art prints too & since they are digital you can ask for any color combo you want to match the rest of your offbeat decor.

So it’s not so much a vault as it is a stack of cd’s with various videos I have taken over the years mostly on digital camera’s. But until now these videos have never been publicly available.
This video from A Global Threat is the 1st song of a complete set I am working on Posting on YouTube. Watch my YouTube account for new videos from A Global Threat & more. I wanted to post the set from A Global Threat 1st because the video quality is on par with the great audio. My band at the time opened for them and were able to set up a tripod in a corner & film the entire set without interfering with the mosh pit that moves in & out of the cameras line of vision.
I have always enjoyed taping shows although I did not always have a nice camera & the lighting in a lot of punk clubs is just perfect, that is unless your trying to shoot a video. Then the dim dingy light doesn’t always give you the best video of the band on stage, but the sound is there in all of them. Look forward to future videos from the likes of Subhumans, Citizen Fish, TSOL, & Leftover Crack.
If you have a video you’d like to share send it my way If you are OK with it being posted on the Raise Your Fist Inc. – YouTube Channel and possibly on this blog if it is previously unreleased footage. {Any submitted videos will be credited to their submitters unless otherwise noted} It’s about sharing a show the rest of the world might have missed because we can. Back in the 1980’s it was way harder to swap videos on VHS now all you gotta do is e-mail it to Ben@raiseyourfistinc.com , sit back, & let that warm feeling that you just enriched the DIY punk community by barely lifting a finger fill you up. It doesn’t even have to be anyone famous either so squat houses, warehouse shows, & basement show are all welcome!
Let’s all dig out our old punk video’s & get them out there for the rest of the punk world. If you’ve really got old video you want to share, but can’t change the format shoot me a message and I might be able to help you out digitizing it & copying it to DVD before the last VHS player in your town dies out. Thats a real free offer!!! All that is asked in return is that you allow the video to be shared with the online punk community.
